Business Resilience
This category recognises the companies that have found innovative solutions to business challenges. Have you diversified your products, spotted a niche or gone viral with your marketing? This is the category for you.
Industry newcomer
The judges will be looking for an exceptional person who is at the start of their career in the industry (within the last two years), but who has already demonstrated an exceptional talent or work ethic and who has made a significant contribution to their company’s business.
The individual can be working in any capacity and at any level of the business.
Nominations should include details of the individual’s achievements, what they have done and how they carried out this work, and how the business has benefited as a result.
Qualification date: New to the industry since 1st November 2023
One to watch
The winner of this category will be chosen by our independent judging panel.
All organisations who enter into other categories will all be eligible.

Services to the industry
The judges will be looking for an individual who has displayed certain qualities over their career in the industry (e.g. innovation, entrepreneurialism, forward thinking, pioneering, financial success and longevity).
Winners enter the 'Hall of Fame' and cannot be nominated again.
Please note that in this category, you cannot nominate yourself.
Product or service
Best training or employee development programme
This category recognises the companies that put employee development first - whether that is through exceptional apprenticeship/training schemes, or giving long-standing members of staff new skills.
Best technical innovation
The judges will be looking for a technical innovation that has been specifically designed with the installer in mind – for instance, a feature that makes fitting windows, doors or conservatory products easier, simpler and faster, raising the standards and quality of installations in the process.
This product must already be released to the market.
Please note that customer testimonials and case studies are mandatory.
Projects
Best feature door installation
The judges are looking for an excellently executed, stand-out door installation that could be described as a main feature of a commercial or residential building.
They will consider the overall look and design of the door, how well it complements the existing surroundings, as well as the challenge and logistics involved to complete the installation.
We welcome entries about projects that feature automatic as well as more traditional doors.
Best glazed extension (up to £40,000)
The judges will be looking for a renovation or new-build project that has used a conservatory, orangery or glazed extension (including hybrid conservatories and orangeries) to dramatically enhance a property by providing a stylish additional space that can be enjoyed all year round.
The project should have been completed on time, on budget and either met or exceeded the client’s expectations.
The judges will consider the overall aesthetics, creativity and quality of the project, including any innovative use of products and outstanding design elements.
Installation value must be no more than £40,000 (excluding VAT) and should include all costs related to the project.
Best glazed extension (over £40,000)
The judges will be looking for a domestic new build or high-end renovation that has used a conservatory, orangery or glazed extension (including hybrid conservatories and orangeries) to dramatically enhance a property by providing a stylish additional space that can be enjoyed all year round.
The project should have been completed on time, on budget and either met or exceeded the client’s expectations.
The judges will consider the overall aesthetics, creativity and quality of the project, including any innovative use of products and outstanding design elements.
Installation value must be over £40,000 (excluding VAT) and should include all costs related to the project.
Best heritage installation
For this category, our judges are looking for excellent installation projects that have respected or contributed towards the preservation of rural or urban conservation.
The installation could be within a conservation area or a site of historic, cultural or architectural interest.
Installations that focus on commercial, residential and listed buildings are welcome.
Best installation - residential (up to £30,000)
The judges will be looking for an example of a residential property that has been significantly improved with the addition of new windows and doors, including PVC-U, timber and metal products.
The project should have been completed on time, on budget and either met or exceeded the client’s expectations.
The judges will consider the overall aesthetics, creativity and quality of the project, including any innovative use of products and outstanding design elements.
Installation value must be up to £30,000 (excluding VAT) and should include all costs related to the project.
Best installation - residential (over £30,000)
The judges will be looking for an example of a residential property that has been significantly improved with the addition of new windows and/or doors, including PVC-U, timber and metal products.
The project should have been completed on time, on budget and either met or exceeded the client’s expectations.
The judges will consider the overall aesthetics, creativity and quality of the project, including any innovative use of products and outstanding design elements.
Installation value must be over £30,000 (excluding VAT) and should include all costs related to the project.
Best installation - commercial for a single building
SINGLE BUILDING
(i.e. hospital; care home; police station; fire station; single retail building; hotel)
The judges will be looking for an example of a commercial project that demonstrates an outstanding use of new windows and/or doors, including PVC-U, timber and metal products.
Examples of commercial projects will be considered from across educational, social housing, new-build, healthcare, light commercial and conservation sectors.
The project should have been completed on time, on budget and either met or exceeded the client’s expectations.
The judges will consider the overall aesthetics, creativity and quality of the project, including any innovative use of products and outstanding design elements.
Best installation - commercial for multiple buildings
MULTIPLE BUILDINGS
(i.e. housing developments; industrial estate; retail complex)
The judges will be looking for an example of a commercial project that demonstrates an outstanding use of new windows and/or doors, including PVC-U, timber and metal products.
Examples of commercial projects will be considered from across educational, social housing, new-build, healthcare, light commercial and conservation sectors.
The project should have been completed on time, on budget and either met or exceeded the client’s expectations.
The judges will consider the overall aesthetics, creativity and quality of the project, including any innovative use of products and outstanding design elements.
